Madrid-Barajas Int. Airport (MAD)

About 530 km north from Seville. Once in Madrid airport you can reach Seville either by plane, by train, by bus, or by car.

 

Flights:

Train:

If you are flying to Madrid, the high-speed train station can be reached from Madrid airport by either underground or taxi.

The High speed train (known as AVE, for "Alta Velocidad Española") travels from Seville to Madrid 15 times a day with two brief stops at Cordoba and Ciudad Real. The AVE has different rates depending on the class and the time of day, between €40.00 and €150.00. By Bus:

There are regular buses throughout the day between Madrid (both from the city and the airport) and Seville. The journey takes a little more than six hours and costs about €20.00.

Malaga Int. Airport (AGP)

About 200 km south from Seville.

By train:

The Santa Justa train station serves as an important hub for connections between the Andalusia´s main cities and all of the Autonomous Regions of Spain and Europe. Major train lines from Madrid, Malaga and Granada converge here.

  • AVEs (high speed trains), which daily connect to/from Cordoba (around€30 to €50, 40 minutes), Malaga (€36, 2 hours), Madrid (usually €64 to €70, 2½ hours) or Barcelona (€80 to €250 5½ hours).
  • Regional and local trains. In addition to the AVE service, this modern station concentrates all railway traffic, with trains to various towns of the province, to all the capitals of Andalusia and to other Spanish cities.
  • If you are flying to Madrid, the high-speed train station can be reached from Madrid airport by either underground or taxi.

Renovated highway and access roads and rapid beltways provide precise connections to all neuralgic points of the city and its surroundings. Seville has now become one of Spain's best connected cities by road, with highways connecting all Andalusia´s main cities as well as Madrid and Portugal. Taking a taxi from Seville airport is pretty quick and straightforward. Seville airport has a main taxi stand outside of the arrivals hall. The taxi ride from Seville airport to the conference venue takes around 15-20 minutes.

There is a flat rate fare for journeys from the airport to any destination within the limits of regular Seville city rates. Rates are subject to review by the local council.

Bus

There is a bus connection from the Seville airport to the city center.

Tussam Bus: Line EA makes the trip between the airport and the centre of Seville - every 30 minutes, which takes about 40 minutes, from Monday to Saturday from 5.00am to 12.00pm, and every hour on Sunday and holidays, from 6am to 11pm.
